Roxbury Arts Alliance is Awarded Grant from the New Walmart Supercenter

Roxbury Arts Alliance is excited to announce that they have received a grant from Walmart Giving Foundation to help fund their Arts Programs for the Roxbury area community. Store Manager Anthony Moreno said the opening of the Walmart Supercenter in Ledgewood Commons in Roxbury will provide over 400 new jobs to residents and help bring growth to the area.

One of the programs this generous grant will help support is Caroling for the Community on December 12, 2020 at 2pm at the Horseshoe Lake Bandshell stage. Roxbury Arts Alliance and the Roxbury Library are co-sponsoring the event and gifting the donations from the day to the Roxbury Social Services Organization which helps Roxbury Township residents in need.

Emceed by popular Balladeer Charlie Zahm, Caroling for the Community will be a fun outdoor winter event that is intended to bring the community together to share the joys of the season. Family, friends and/or organizations – with no experience necessary – can sing their hearts out together and show the world that despite our hardships we can enjoy each other’s songs.
