The Investors Bank Theater Seeks ‘Star Next Door – Take 2’ participants.

In Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Investors Bank Theater, the Roxbury Arts Alliance presents The Star Next Door – Take 2
One way we want to celebrate this milestone is by hosting a vocal talent competition.
Do you have, or do you know someone who has what it takes to be the Roxbury area’s next great talent?
Looking for the top vocal talent from the NJ area, the RAA is offering over $2,100 in prize money to the top three finalists in a competition that will be completed during a special final event at the Investor’s Bank Theater in Succasunna on Saturday night, March 23, 2019.
Application Deadline Extended to January 31!
Sponsored by Fullerton Ground Maintenance, the competition begins with an application process starting on December 1 and running until January 18 January 31. A limited number of applications will be accepted and considered on a rolling basis.
The competition focuses on solo performers; it is not open to full bands (although vocalists may be accompanied by up to three musicians). All styles of music are welcome, from folk to soft rock, jazz and blues, and everything in between.
20 semi-finalists will be selected by three judges as semi-finalists and their videos will be shared on Facebook. The contestant receiving the most “likes” on the Roxbury Arts Alliance Facebook Page will have a guaranteed place in the finals.
The Facebook posts will take place from Saturday, February 23 through Friday, March 8. The 12 finalists will consist of the winner of the most likes on the Roxbury Arts Alliance Facebook page and the other eleven will be chosen by the panel of judges. The finalists will be notified by email on Sunday, March 10th and they will compete on the Final Event on Saturday, March 23 at 7:30 pm.
$1,010, second place is $710, and third place is $410. To be eligible for the cash prizes, those selected by the judges MUST perform on March 23.

There is a non-refundable fee of $20 per entry. Applications must include the title of the piece to be performed, photo, and video, as well as other details as outlined in the application. Winners of the 2017 The Star Next Door Competition are not allowed to apply.
About the Roxbury Arts Alliance
The Roxbury Arts Alliance is a volunteer group that has been promoting the arts in and around Roxbury Township, New Jersey since 1997. What began with occasional performances in coffee houses and local houses of worship by several parents of Roxbury High School parents has evolved into year-round programming, classes, and performances.
The Investors Bank Theater at Horseshoe Lake is operated by the Roxbury Arts Alliance, a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization.
