The Roxbury Arts Alliance has chosen three Roxbury High School Students to receive scholarships in 2019!
Kayla Bouvier discovered her passion for film making when she took her first mass media class at the high school. She worked on the school news station and was part of the Every 15 Minutes video team. Kayla will major in Film and is already planning her Academy Awards acceptance speech.
Austin Kurbansade is a dedicated and talented music student. He was chosen for the ACDA National Honors Choir and served as a choir intern at RHS. He plans to become a music educator and continue the magic feeling of helping others to love music.
Madison Solano has taken seven art classes at the high school and developed her portfolio during her senior year. She was a member of the National Art Honor Society. She plans to earn a Masters Degree in Art Therapy and wants to be a mentor for others.
All awards are in the amount of $400.
About the Scholarship
Since 1998 the Roxbury Arts Alliance Scholarship has been awarded to one or more graduating Roxbury High School students who have demonstrated outstanding abilities in one or more areas of the arts such as music, dance, literature or visual arts. A complete list of recipients can be found here.
